Pancake Breakfast

This week was our 60th Pancake Breakfast at 5th & Main in Hillsboro. It’s a great tradition – grandkids are going with grandparents who went with their grandparents ages ago. But after all this time, it this what we want to continue? In the mid 20th century, pancakes were the norm. I suppose if the white suburban middle class is a culture, then pancakes are ethnic food. But I prefer Chile Relleno or Dim Sum. With low-carb diets, why do we push the grain-brain option? I’m open to change.
